If done properly you can boost into the middle of a pack of 10 mobs, turn on your turret, destroy everything, NEVER run out of energy and you'll have full armor and full hull. If you get a penumbra Flak and Blaster that boosts weapon damage by 30% for 5 seconds when swapping weapons, even better. Get some weapons that work well at close range, my personal favorite combination is a synchro pulse, Flak and Blaster combo with corrosion mines and some rockets. Get a energy core that supplies more energy to weapons instead of boost and shields as you won't be needing these things anyway. You should NEVER allow one weapon to drain all of it's energy, when 1 weapon gets down to around a 1/3 of it's energy swap to another weapon rinse and repeat. The other possible explanation could be that you were in Union because it seems odd that you would randomly encounter this type of situation in Ceto. They are fairly easy to destroy and destroying them makes all the other mobs much easier to deal with.
